Well it’s that time of year… FOOTBALL SEASON! Many have already created their fantasy teams and spend Sundays on the couch. It’s also that time where high school students go out on Friday nights with their friends to watch and support their school teams.
My newest pattern is for all those football fans whether you’re on the couch or at the stadium. This pattern is super easy to make and takes little time at all! It is a great project for any beginner. This pattern includes a sizing chart so you can make one for any size head. This could also be a great holiday gift for that football fan in the family (for those of you thinking of holiday gifts already- like me!)
If you’re new to crocheting check out my post 5 Things Every Crochet Beginner Needs to Know. This post will teach you everything from types of yarn to gauge. It’s filled with all the info I wish I knew when I started crocheting that I had to learn the hard way!
If you would like to support my small business and the work that went into creating this pattern consider purchasing the PDF on Ravelry.

Sizing Chart
Pattern:
Create your initial chain half an inch shorter than your head circumference. (So if your head circumference were 21 inches you would chain to 20.5 inches). Create your chain using brown.
Row 1: Sl st into the first ch st to form a circle.
Row 2-4: Ch 2. Dc in each st around. Sl st into the top of the ch 2.
Row 5: Switch to first team color. Ch 1 and hdc in each st around. Sl st to top of ch 1.
Row 6: Switch to second team color. Ch 1 and hdc in each st around.
Row 7: Attach first team color to the other side of the ear warmer opposite side from where you just added the two team colors. (See image below). Ch 1 and hdc in each st across. Sl st to top of ch 1.
Row 8: Attach second team color. Ch 1 and hdc in each st around. Sl st in the top of the ch 1.
Attach white yarn and make the football strings. First make the main line (longest line down the middle). Then sew the smaller lines across.
That’s it! You’re all done!
