Pattern: Summer Swimsuit Cover-Up

It’s that time of year! Summertime is one of the best times to be living in southern California. I cannot wait to spend afternoons at the beach soaking in the sun. I love summertime because I have more free time to relax before starting back up with school in the fall.

I’m so excited to share with you my latest pattern; the summer swimsuit cover-up! This pattern is super easy to make and is available for sizes XS-5XL! It is made in one piece with a little bit of sewing. It involves basic stitches and simple construction. It is definitely a good first garment pattern if you haven’t made one before.

Materials
– Caron simply soft (yardage varies depending on size.) 2 skeins needed for sizes XS, small, and medium. 3 skeins needed for sizes L/XL, 2XL/3XL. 4 skeins needed for sizes 4XL/5XL.
– Size K/ 6.5 mm crochet hook
– Stitch markers (optional to mark arm holes)
– Yarn needle

Notes
In the chain 3 the 3rd chain is considered a ch 1 space.

Terminology
Hdc- half double crochet
Ch- chain
Dc- double crochet

Optional
When sewing up the sides, skip the first 20 or so stitches to create a slit (seen in image below).
